Amy has 20 years of professional work experience with a broad background in marketing, public relations, project management, operations, and human resources. She has worked for hospitals, non-profits, pharmaceutical companies, public relations firms, digital marketing agencies, tech companies, and for a private equity firm.
After her most recent role as VP of People, Amy decided that she wanted to get back to her roots and true passion, marketing and public relations.
Throughout the course of her career, Amy realized that women are often under-represented in the business world and in the media. That’s why she decided to focus Amy Stewart Public Relations on women-owned businesses.
Amy now partners with women to help them move their businesses forward faster.
Education
Amy received the majority of her education in the Kansas City area.
She graduated with her Master of Arts in Communication and Leadership from Park University in Parkville, MO in 2008.
She went to the University of Missouri - Kansas City for her undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, and graduated in 2004.
A proud member of the class of 2000, Amy graduated from Winnetonka High School, which is part of the North Kansas City school district.
Amy believes that an ongoing education is essential. She keeps herself updated on the latest trends in public relations, marketing, and communications by attending webinars and in-person events put on by local organizations.
